Only You

Pop
“Only You” was a 1955 #1 hit for The Platters. Lead singer Tony Williams has a slight voice crack on the title word “only,” which producer Buck Ram decided to keep, giving the song its signature heartfelt break. The smooth vocal harmony arrangement and romantic lyrics made it an enduring doo-wop classic. It has since been covered by many, including The Righteous Brothers (as “Only You (And You Alone)”).
