Detroit Rock City

Hard Rock Classic Rock
'Detroit Rock City' (1976) is one of Kiss's most iconic anthems. Written by Paul Stanley, it's a high-octane hard rock song about a fan named Stacy who tragically crashes on his way to see the band in Detroit. The track opens with a simulated radio introduction (even announcing the concert name 'Armageddon') to set the scene. With gritty guitars and Peter Criss's pounding drums, it captures the excitement of rock 'n' roll. Despite its dark storyline, 'Detroit Rock City' became a fan favorite and live staple. Its title was later used for a 1999 teen film *Detroit Rock City*, further cementing its legacy.
