Imagine Dragons’ “Enemy” (2021), featuring rapper JID, blends rock and hip-hop and was created for the Netflix animated series *Arcane*. Thanks to the show’s popularity and a catchy chorus (“spare the sympathy”), the song crossed over from the gaming world to the mainstream charts – reaching the Top 5 on the Hot 100. “Enemy” became one of 2022’s big radio hits and gave Imagine Dragons another multi-format smash while introducing JID’s rapid-fire flow to a global audience.
