Fats Waller

Fats Waller (1904–1943) – pianist, composer, and master of Harlem stride piano. His hits “Ain’t Misbehavin’” and “Honeysuckle Rose” became jazz standards. Known for his humor as much as his virtuosity, legend has it he once played at Al Capone’s birthday after being “borrowed” by gangsters. His mix of swing, skill, and charisma made him unforgettable.
