Mario is an American R&B singer Mario Barrett who debuted in 2002 at age 16 with the hit Just a Friend 2002. His breakthrough single Let Me Love You (2004) spent 9 weeks at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and went triple-platinum. The song was written by Ne-Yo and produced by Scott Storch, using a sample from Id Rather Be with You by Bootsy Collins. Mario sold over 2.3 million albums in the US and had 4 Top 10 hits.
