Morrison used samples from Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain & Tennille and Im Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby by Barry White. He sold over 2.5 million copies in the US and received platinum certification. Morrison was the first British R&B artist to achieve such success in America after Sade. His distinctive Mack image and smooth vocals influenced artists like Craig David and Daniel Bedingfield.
