Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell is an American R&B duo who created the hit Aint No Mountain High Enough (1967). The song was written by Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson and reached #19 on Billboard Hot 100. The duo recorded 3 albums between 1967-1969, including United (1967) and Youre All I Need (1968). Tammi Terrell died in 1970 from a brain tumor at age 24, leading to the end of the duo. Marvin Gaye dedicated songs Tammis Song and Tammis Interlude to her.
