Blige used samples from Real Love by Mary J. Blige and You Remind Me by Chaka Khan. She has 9 Grammy Awards and sold over 80 million records worldwide. Blige became the first artist to have 100 consecutive weeks on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Her influence is felt in the work of Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole and Jazmine Sullivan. Blige also starred in films Mudbound (2017) and Respect (2021).
