Men at Work is an Australian rock group who created the hit Down Under (1981). The song reached #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart, becoming the first Australian hit to reach #1 in the US. The group used samples from Kookaburra by Marion Sinclair and Land Down Under by Men at Work. Down Under sold over 2 million copies in the US and received platinum certification. The group had 3 Top 10 hits between 1981-1983, including Who Can It Be Now? and Overkill. Their influence is felt in the work of INXS, Midnight Oil and Crowded House.
