Metro Station is an American electro-pop group who created the hit Shake It (2007). The song reached #10 on Billboard Hot 100 and went platinum, selling over 1 million copies. The group used samples from Shake It by Metro Station and Seventeen Forever by Metro Station. Metro Station consisted of Trace Cyrus (Miley Cyruss brother) and Mason Musso. The group had 2 Top 40 hits between 2007-2009, including Shake It and Seventeen Forever. Their influence is felt in the work of 3OH!3, Cobra Starship and The Ready Set. The group disbanded in 2010, but Shake It remains a cult hit of the 2000s.
