Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald is an American singer who joined Doobie Brothers in 1975. He wrote hits What a Fool Believes (1979) and Minute by Minute (1978), which earned the group Grammy Awards. McDonald used samples from What a Fool Believes by Doobie Brothers and Minute by Minute by Doobie Brothers. He has 5 Grammy Awards and sold over 20 million records worldwide. McDonald became the first artist to have 3 consecutive #1 hits on Billboard Hot 100 between 1978-1979. His influence is felt in the work of Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross and Hall & Oates.
