Muddy Waters

Muddy Waters is an American bluesman McKinley Morganfield who created the hit Hoochie Coochie Man (1954). The song reached #8 on Billboard R&B chart and went gold, selling over 500,000 copies. Waters used samples from Hoochie Coochie Man by Muddy Waters and Mannish Boy by Muddy Waters. He had 14 Top 10 hits on Billboard R&B chart between 1948-1958, including Im Ready and Got My Mojo Working. Waters became the first bluesman to perform at Newport Folk Festival in 1960. His influence is felt in the work of The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.
