Neil Diamond is an American singer-songwriter who created the hit Sweet Caroline (1969). The song reached #4 on Billboard Hot 100 and became an anthem of Boston Red Sox. Diamond wrote over 100 songs, including Cracklin Rosie and Song Sung Blue. He sold over 130 million records worldwide and has 38 Top 40 hits. Diamond became the first artist to have 9 consecutive platinum albums between 1970-1981. His songs were covered by many artists, including Elvis Presley (Sweet Caroline) and UB40 (Red Red Wine). Neil received Kennedy Center Honors in 2011.
