Oasis

Oasis is a British rock group from Manchester who created the hit Wonderwall (1995). The song reached #8 on Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on UK Singles Chart, becoming the groups biggest hit. Oasis sold over 75 million records worldwide and had 8 #1 albums in the UK. The group was the center of the Britpop movement of the 1990s along with Blur, Pulp and Radiohead. Gallagher brothers (Liam and Noel) were known for their public feuds and rivalry with Blur. Oasis disbanded in 2009 after the final quarrel between the brothers. Their influence is felt in the work of Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian.
