Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd is a British progressive rock group who created the conceptual album The Dark Side of the Moon (1973). The album stayed on Billboard 200 chart for 14 years (736 weeks) and sold over 45 million copies worldwide. The group used innovative studio techniques, including multitrack recording and synthesizers. Pink Floyd had elaborate live shows with quadraphonic sound systems and circular screen projections. Roger Waters was primary lyricist and bassist until his departure in 1985. The group became the first rock group to use laser light shows and inflatable stage props. Their album The Wall (1979) became a rock opera and was adapted into a film in 1982. Their influence is felt in the work of Radiohead, Tool and Porcupine Tree.
