Plain White Ts is an American pop-punk group from Chicago who created the hit Hey There Delilah (2006). The song reached #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and went 2x platinum, selling over 4 million digital downloads. Tom Higgenson wrote the song about real person Delilah DiCrescenzo, whom he met at a concert. The track was recorded as a simple acoustic ballad and became an unexpected mainstream success. Plain White Ts had 3 Top 40 hits between 2006-2010, including 1, 2, 3, 4 and Rhythm of Love. Hey There Delilah received 2 Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance. The group also recorded theme song for Disney Channel movie A Cinderella Story (2004). Their influence is felt in the work of The All-American Rejects, Simple Plan and Good Charlotte.
