Radiohead

Radiohead is a British alternative rock group by Thom Yorke who created the hit Creep (1992). The song reached #34 on Billboard Hot 100 and became their breakthrough hit. Radiohead had distinctive sound with Yorkes falsetto vocals and Jonny Greenwoods innovative guitar techniques. The group sold over 30 million albums worldwide and had 5 #1 albums in the UK. Creep was inspired by The Hollies The Air That I Breathe and led to lawsuit for copyright infringement. Yorke wrote the song about feeling alienated in social situations. The group became an icon for alternative music with their experimental approaches. Their influence is felt in the work of Muse, Coldplay and Arcade Fire.
