The group had 3 platinum albums between 1992-2000, including Rage Against the Machine (1992). Morello used unorthodox guitar techniques, including DJ scratching sounds on guitar. The group disbanded in 2000 due to political differences between members. Their influence is felt in the work of System of a Down, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park.
