REO Speedwagon is an American rock group from Illinois who created the hit Keep On Loving You (1980). The song reached #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and became their biggest crossover success. REO Speedwagon had distinctive sound with Kevin Cronins high-pitched vocals and Neal Doughtys keyboard melodies. The group sold over 40 million records worldwide and had 13 Top 40 hits on Billboard Hot 100. Cronin wrote Keep On Loving You about his first marriage problems and reconciliation. The group became popular on college campuses in the 1970s with their power ballads. Their influence is felt in the work of Journey, Styx and Foreigner.
