“Brand New Cadillac” was a 1959 rockabilly track by Vince Taylor. While Taylor’s version didn’t chart, it became a cult classic overseas. In fact, cover versions by other artists hit #1 in Finland and Sweden. Punk band The Clash later revived the song on *London Calling*, praising it as one of the first British rock’n’roll records.
