Cream’s 1967 hit “Sunshine of Your Love” is anchored by one of rock’s most iconic riffs. Jack Bruce’s heavy bass/guitar line (conceived after a Jimi Hendrix show) sets a fierce groove, joined by Eric Clapton’s stinging guitar and Ginger Baker’s thunderous drums. Marrying electric blues with psychedelia, the song peaked at No. 5 in the US and became Cream’s biggest hit.
